You ever come across one of those stories that contains such a wonderful idea, it’s almost mind boggling someone hadn’t thought of it earlier?? The story I’ve linked to below falls into that category for me. I’m a huge proponent of “normalizing” (and it pains me to even admit that’s a necessity) persons with disabilities in the eyes of the neuro-typical population. Is there a better way than to interact with people than in your “home”? Even if it’s only the temporary one you’re occupying for a few nights, being able to interact with people in such an intimate space allows for even the most underlying of one’s guards to be let down.
